Armani Couture

This morning I made my way over to Place Vendome just in time to get caught up in the excitement of the stars arriving for the couture Armani show. Black Mercedes with tinted windows were lined up along Place Vendome waiting to drop off their passengers into the paparazzi groupings. I waited along with other reporters, bloggers and journalists including Jeanne Beker!

As the cars started to progress along the street and drop people off, I started spotting some famous names in fashion. Celebrities attending this event included Clair Danes, accompanied by Hugh Dancy.

Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington were there to get the latest couture fashions for Vogue.

Inside the show, the gowns created by Armani were based on amber, working every shade of the gemstone from sandalwood to gold. Evening gowns were hand beaded with iridescent sequins, then folded into a fishtail shape, creating a glistening, mermaid effect.

As usual, Armani created classic, pieces that any woman would want to wear. Timeless silhouettes with just a perfect amount of glam and glitter.

Those attending the show were not shy to show off their carefully picked outfits.
